The transmission has wide ratios, an overdriven top gear and advanced low-inertia torque converter. The J-gate gear selector allows automatic or manual gear operation. The transmission operates in sport or normal mode. A two-section equal-length prop shaft is sourced from the XJR and designed to reduce vibration. A limited slip differential is also standard XKR equipment.
