The second-generation Mazda6 diesel is the most powerful diesel in its class, and Mazda plans to build on the notion of good performance tied to good economy that the Mazda designed and built engine offers. There may be those who believe that diesel is a dirty word as far as performance is concerned, but it’s hard to ignore the fact that the Mazda6 diesel is more powerful than its petrol sibling - and more powerful than any of its competitors. With the Mazda6’s good looks and excellent dynamics, the new diesel overlays a thick, sweet layer of syrupy torque and great economy. In fact, it's more fuel-efficient than Mazda’s own small car, the Mazda2.
