Subaru teases WRX tS Spec B

Manual only Subaru WRX tS Spec B slated for arrival this year

21 Feb 2025

SUBARU Australia has announced first details of an exciting new addition to its local portfolio with the WRX tS Spec B slated for arrival this year.

Aimed at “both driving purists and enthusiasts”, initial details of the WRX tS Spec B appear promising, with 19-inch matte grey alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, and Recaro front seats among the model’s enhancements.

An accompanying teaser video further shows STI exhaust outlets and gold-painted brake callipers, as well as tS badging.

While the “striking” rear spoiler cannot be missed, the vehicle’s final specification and pricing is notably absent, Subaru Australia saying only that the WRX tS Spec B is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, all-wheel drive, and its “renowned 2.4-litre turbocharged Boxer engine”.

The current Subaru WRX range is priced from $51,790 - $59,790 plus on-road costs.

“We’re excited to introduce the WRX AWD tS Spec B to the model range in 2025,” said Subaru Australia general manager Scott Lawrence.

“This is just the first glimpse of what’s to come, and we look forward to sharing more details soon.”

Buyers eager to be among the first to experience the WRX tS Spec B can register their interest via Subaru Australia’s public website.

Subaru Australia sold 145 examples of the WRX nationally in January (2025), the sporty Small segment sedan continuing to rival the likes of the Honda Civic Type R, Hyundai i30 N, Mini Cooper JCW, Toyota GR Corolla, and Volkswagen Golf R.
