New models - Genesis - GV70Genesis GV70 BEV gets more range, price hikeBigger battery, 462km range for Genesis Electrified GV70 but buyers pay $6942 more13 Jun 2025 GENESIS has updated its Electrified GV70 medium SUV for 2025, available now with a larger battery delivering 462km of range, but the luxury Korean brand has hiked the price by $6942 to $132,800 before on-road costs.
Despite pumping the outgoing model's $125,858 + ORC starting point, the GV70 flagship still undercuts its battery electric German rivals with BMW's iX xDrive45 priced from $142,900 and the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV starting from $134,900.
Visually, the updated Electrified GV70 maintains the same overall design as its predecessor but gains new two-line micro lens array headlights, an updated BEV-specific grille and fresh 20-inch wheels.
The reworked rear receives a new spoiler design and updated bumper said to improve aerodynamic performance.
The same dual-motor powertrain underpins the GV70, producing 320kW/700Nm during normal operation, or a maximum 360kW when in ‘boost mode’, capable of reaching 100km/h in 4.4 seconds.
Much of the new model’s technology improvements are inside the cabin, with a new 27-inch OLED display that spans the the dashboard and handles both infotainment and digital cluster duties, while the system also gains wireless smartphone mirroring.
The new model will also get a head-up display, wireless charging pad, 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, UV sterilisation and air aroma diffuser.
Rounding out the technology updates is an expanded suite of safety features, including the brand’s second-generation Highway Driving Assist 2 semi-autonomous technology.
“We are delighted to introduce the comprehensively upgraded and enhanced 2025 Electrified GV70, which treats customers to an array of new technology, and a richly refined all-electric luxury SUV experience,” said Genesis Motors Australia head Justin Douglass.
All Genesis products are covered by a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, with the battery pack of Electrified models guaranteed for eight years or 160,000km.
