JEEP’S MY2025 Wrangler line-up has arrived.

Abbreviated to just two high spec’ Rubicon variants, in two-door and four-door (Unlimited) configuration, the Wrangler is now priced from $79,990 plus on-road costs.

Jeep says the new schedule slices $2960 from the price of the two-door model and a hefty $6460 from the four-door; however, it has cut lower grade Sport and Overland variants from the range, effectively removing the cheaper alternatives that once existed for prospective buyers.

There are no other changes to the MY2025 Jeep Wrangler line-up, save for a pair of new paint options dubbed ’41 and Mojito. Other hues includes Anvil, Black Granite, Bright White, Firecracker Red, and Hydro Blue.

Jeep Australia is leveraging the iconic status of Wrangler to put it on the menu in Australia’s third biggest new vehicle segment emphasising the model’s “open-air freedom, with legendary off-road capability,” and “exceptional off-road capability and rugged refinement”.

Direct four-wheel drive and turbocharged four-cylinder petrol competitors are non-existent in the segment, though alternatives may include the GWM Tank 300, Land Rover Defender 90, and Toyota LandCruiser Prado.

Jeep says the Wrangler “remains the benchmark for off-road SUVs, with no compromises on spec”, adding that it retains “all the key enhancements that debuted last year”, including the 200kW/400Nm turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.

And of course there is no ignoring the Wrangler’s hardcore underpinnings, its Dana-sourced solid axles, a two-speed transfer case, four skid plates, and Rock-Trac four-wheel drive system with 4:1 low gear ratio and 77.2:1 crawl ratio.

The heavy-duty Dana rear axle is a Next Gen 44 full-floating unit that allows for better weight distribution and supports aftermarket tyre upgrades.

Of particular use off-road is Wrangler’s TrailCam Off-Road Camera, a forward-facing unit that “eliminates” blind spots while navigating challenging terrain.

Remaining inside, we continue to find a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment array supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, multi-device Bluetooth telephony, and five user profiles including Valet mode.

Safety features include side curtain airbags front and rear, rear seat reminder alerts, and electronic stability control, while the Rock-Trac 4x4 system is “engineered for real-world use providing adaptive power distribution and extreme low-speed control over tough terrain”.

“The Wrangler offers a rugged, yet refined package that's ready for Australia’s toughest tracks and most remote trails,” said a Jeep Australia spokesperson.

“Whether tackling off-road challenges or cruising the coastline, the Jeep Wrangler delivers unmatched capability and freedom – providing an adventurous and unique driving experience. And now, every Wrangler comes with the confidence of Jeep Wave, our premium ownership program.”
