New models - LDV - MIFA - 8Eight seat option for LDV Mifa ModeLDV adds eight-seat option to its Mifa people mover range, from $47,990 drive-away19 Feb 2025 By MATT BROGAN LDV Australia has added an eight-seat option to its popular Mifa people mover range with the Mifa Mode 8 available now from $47,990 drive-away – or $1019 more than the seven-seat alternative.
Introduced in response to Australian customer feedback, the 2025 LDV Mifa Mode 8 accompanies its seven-seat counterpart, as well as Executive and Luxe variants, to compete against the likes of the eight-seat Hyundai Staria and Kia Carnival.
The model’s introduction comes just days after Toyota announced the axing of its slow-selling Granvia people mover in the Australian market.
“We have been working with the factory on an eight-seat option for some time and we are delighted that we can finally deliver this option to our customers,” said LDV Australia general manager Dinesh Chinnappa.
“The addition of the eight-seat version of the LDV Mifa people-mover is yet another example of the support the factory has for the Australian market.”
Generously equipped, the Mifa Mode (seven- and eight-seat variants) includes as standard 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights with automatic high beam, black leather-accented upholstery, LED daytime running lights and taillights, LED cabin lighting, selectable drive models, seven USB-A charging ports, and tri-zone climate control.
Infotainment highlights include a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch infotainment array, reversing camera, wired Apple CarPlay connectivity, and six-speaker sound.
Safety kit includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking (forward and reverse), blind-spot monitoring, driver-attention alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, side door exit warning, traffic sign recognition, and tyre pressure monitoring.
Top tether and ISOFIX child seat anchor points number three in the seven-seat variant and four in the eight-seat variant.
For 2025, the Mifa Executive (seven seat) continues to offer 19-inch alloy wheels, 220-volt power outlet, 360-degree camera system, air purifier, auto dimming rear-view mirror, auto folding wing mirrors, auto up/down front windows, eight-speaker audio, front and rear sunroofs, front parking sensors, powered front seat adjustment, power-operated sliding doors and tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, rear privacy glass, and a wireless device charging pad.
Finally, for the range-topping Mifa Luxe, we find the addition of 12-speaker sound, 64-colour ambient LED cabin lighting, black leather upholstery, driver-seat position memory, heated, massaging, and ventilated front seats, and second-row captain’s chairs with eight-mode massage, reclining function, and built-in tray tables.
Paint colours include no-cost Blanc White, or $500 premium Dynasty Red, Metal Black, Mica Blue, or Pearl White. Concrete Grey with contrasting black roof (Executive and Luxe grades only) attracts a $2000 surcharge.
All LDV Mifa models are powered by a 160kW/360Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine paired exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels.
Combined cycle fuel consumption is listed at 9.3 litres per 100km and CO2 emissions of 220 grams per kilometre. The 70-litre fuel tank should allow an operating range of 775km.
The 2025 LDV Mifa range is on sale now.
