Sales of the two models tracked down in 2024 compared YOY to 2023 the pair also encountering increasing competition from the BMW iX1 and iX2, Lexus UX300e, and Volvo EX30 and XC40 fully electric models among others.
Pricing for the EQA 250+ Night Edition is $85,800 while the EQB 250+ Night Edition is offered for $90,000 (both excluding on-road costs).
Mercedes-Benz Australia points out that in both cases this represents no change from the list price for the additional features contained in the Night Edition package further incentivised by pricing that is below the Luxury Car Tax (LCT) threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles, which can also make them exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT).
The German luxury importer says it expects the styling enhancements to “find wide appeal across a spectrum of customers who are also attracted to these popular models’ outstanding utility and specification”.
Available in limited numbers, the pair of Night Edition equipped BEVs run “highly efficient” all-electric drivetrains offering a combination of utility, technology and safety together with the “benefits of a quiet, smooth all-electric drivetrain”.
Both are powered by a single e-motor with an output of up to 140kW and 385Nm, coupled to a 70.5kWh battery, a set-up said to offer instant response when needed, flexible power delivery in daily driving, and a NEDC-tested range of 578km for the EQA 250+ and 564km for the EQB 250+.
The package comprises additional “expressive” exterior design elements in high-gloss black, including inserts in the front and rear aprons and side panelling, the mirror housings, the beltline and window-line trim strip, and roof rails.
Additionally, the two models are fitted with aerodynamically optimised 20-inch multi-spoke light-alloy wheels finished in a high-gloss black paint finish and high-sheen rim flange.
Both the EQA and EQB 250+ models are equipped with a vivid digital widescreen array which accommodates the MBUX infotainment system, including Augmented Reality for navigation and a fingerprint scanner for setting individual user configurations.

Adding an extra measure of comfort are front sports-style seats with Artico leather and Microcut microfibre upholstery complementing electric adjustment, memory settings, heating and a seat comfort package with the driver’s multifunction steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather.
Standard luxury kit in both includes a panoramic sliding sunroof, heat-insulating dark-tinted glass, metallic paint, AMG Line exterior enhancements and body styling, keyless-go Comfort package, adjustable damping suspension, and LED high performance headlights with adaptive high beam assist.
An extensive suite of safety features sees both scoring a 360-degree camera combined with active parking assist plus, active distance assist Distronic cruise control, active lane keeping assist and other ADAS features.
