New models - Skoda - Octavia - RSRevamped Skoda Octavia RS here in MarchSkoda ups the output of its Octavia RS, adds $9000 in additional equipment23 Jan 2025 By MATT BROGAN SKODA Australia has announced changes to its sporty Octavia RS sedan and wagon, the revised range due in showrooms from March priced from $58,490 and $59,990 plus on-road costs respectively.
Now with more power – up 15kW to 195kW but still with 370Nm of torque – from its EA888-series 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, the facelifted 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is offered exclusively with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission channelling power to the front wheels via an electrically actuated mechanical limited slip differential.
Skoda quotes a 0-100km/h time of 6.4 seconds for the sedan and 6.5 seconds for the wagon.
Offered with Dynamic Chassis Control (adaptive damping) for the first time, the revamped Octavia RS further includes standard 19-inch alloy wheels, metallic paint, a 13.0-inch infotainment array with native satellite navigation, 15-watt wireless device charging pad, Intelligent Park Assist, 360-degree camera system, a heated steering wheel, and a heated windscreen.
Further, and with 80 per cent of Australian buyers having previously selected the option, Skoda will now include its Premium Pack (formerly a $6600 option) as standard. The bundle includes Dynamic Chassis Control, heated front and rear outboard seats, 12-speaker Canton premium audio, head-up display, tri-zone climate control, powered front seats with massage and memory functionality, plus passenger mirror tilt-in-reverse and memory functions.
The colour palette for 2025 includes Candy White and Mamba Green solid hues, Black Magic, Brilliant Silver, Graphite Grey, and Race Blue metallic or pearlescent hues, or the optional Velvet Red ($770).
Skoda Australia product manager Glenn Reid says that when compared with the outgoing Octavia RS with Premium Pack, the recommended retail price of the sedan has reduced by $1470 and the wagon $1270, yet the total value of inclusions amounts to $9415.
“Skoda continues to be a ‘unique service provider’ of attainable and intelligent medium-sized passenger cars which the Octavia, and the RS likewise, delivers as a fast sedan or wagon like no other model in the market,” he said.
“Now with 195kW of power and more than $9000 in additional features and technologies, the latest Octavia RS is both more dynamic than ever and better value.
“With 80 per cent of customers selecting the Premium Pack, Skoda offers this as the new standard for less than previously.”
