New EV firm from Porsche dynasty to be led by ex-VW CEO Mueller12 Oct 2020 By NEIL DOWLING Former Porsche and Volkswagen CEO Matthias Mueller has become chairman of EV sportscar start-up Piech Automotive.
The new company is headed by Anton “Toni” Piech, son of the late Dr Ferdinand Piech who headed Volkswagen and Porsche and is credited with saving Volkswagen. Toni Piech is also Ferdinand Porsche’s great-grandson.
