News - Jaguar - E-TypeJaguar Classic expands E-type parts offeringJaguar Classic offers 30 new body panels for iconic E-type, 51 years after production ends16 Apr 2025 By MATT BROGAN AS JAGUAR works to reinvent itself as an all-electric brand, the British firm’s heritage arm, Jaguar Classic, announces the release of some 30 new components for its famed E-type, allowing owners to restore their beloved classics with genuine parts.
Joining an existing catalogue of E-type parts – including doors, bonnets, engine and exhaust components, transmissions, interior trim and linings – the latest additions include cross-member and front frame assemblies, outer sills, floor and other panels Jaguar Classic says are often difficult to source.
Engineered to exact original specifications for a precise fit, the components are constructed from mild steel and finished in black eCoat, allowing enthusiasts to “restore their vehicles with longevity in mind”.
The front frame assembly is made using the original in-period Reynolds tubing method – innovative in its design originating in bicycle manufacturing, to keep the strength and characteristic of the part.
Jaguar Classic engineers used original drawings combined with 3D CAD modelling to produce new tooling and components. Each component was then scanned and compared to the original drawings and the CAD data to confirm its dimensions all match the original specifications.
Every item can be purchased with confidence thanks to JLR’s standard aftermarket parts and accessories warranty, which lasts for two years in the UK and Europe, and for one year in other countries – including Australia.
The newly released components cover Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3 E-types across 3.8-litre and 4.2-litre examples.
“Introducing these parts is a significant development for owners of the iconic E-type,” said Jaguar Classic director Dominic Elms.
“They can have complete confidence the parts will be fully compatible with their vehicle, but also the reassurance of knowing they come direct from the original manufacturer.
“Every item is subject to the highest possible levels of scrutiny, with a range of quality assurance processes employed across Jaguar Classic ensuring these parts and others allow E-types all over the world to continue being driven and enjoyed for decades to come.”
