Reflecting the origami styling trend of its era, the second generation Charade was bigger, roomier and more refined, with new names (base Duet three-door two-seater commercial van and five-door CS and CX models) to choose from, powered by an improved 36kW version of the 1.0L engine.
In March ’84 a 50kW 1.0L turbocharged CX variant was released, creating a burgeoning baby hot-hatch niche.
Sales just kept on climbing.
