Executive and S are the only models to miss out on a passenger airbag. Side-impact airbags are standard on Acclaim, Berlina and Calais, and optional on the rest of the range. VX has a new B-pillar design to direct impact velocity away from the head, neck and chest. Pyrotechnic buckle pretensioners hold the front seat passengers firmly in place in an accident. Lap/sash seatbelts are fitted to all seats, including the centre rear seat. The front seat belt buckles are mounted on the seats, which improves the fit of the seatbelt.
