MY26 Polestar 2 BEV update arrives with no price increase, a new, faster Qualcomm Snapdragon processor chip, faster battery recharging in base model, new wheels, colours and options. Battery upgraded to 70kWh on base car from highly regarded CATL gives 554km range.

Polestar’s latest coupe-SUV slots between the 2 and 3 both in terms of size and price. It has windowless rear-end, dual blade headlights, retractable door handles, flush DLO with frameless door glass, rear aero blades, and rear light bar in single- and dual-motor versions.

Polestar’s first SUV will arrive this month, the ‘3’ a mid-sized electric offering available initially with 360kW or 380kW Long Range Dual Motor drivelines, standard air suspension, panoramic glass roof, LED lighting inside and out, and 21-inch alloy wheels. RWD model to follow soon.

With pricing aimed squarely at Tesla’s Model 3, which is also imported from China, this Volvo off-shoot could help make EV ownership more mainstream.
