New models - Chevrolet - Corvette - StingrayCorvette range rationalised for MY26Prices increase by up to $26K as Chevrolet updates its Australian Corvette Stingray line-up16 Oct 2025 UPGRADES have been announced for the 2026 (MY26) Chevrolet Corvette Stingray sports car range with a focus on the cockpit and connected services and other detail changes.
Pricing has increased sharply, and the local line-up rationalised down to four variants from six with the disappearance of the convertible base model 2LT and apparent (unconfirmed) dropping of the 3LZ (Z06) hi-po model.
The kick-off point is now $12K more for the 2LT coupe previously $182,000 now $193,990 excluding on-road costs with other Corvettes increasing by up to $26,000 (see full pricing in table below).
All variants are now fitted with a three-screen dash layout including a 12.7-inch centre display, a 14.0-inch driver information centre, and a dedicated 6.6-inch auxiliary touchscreen.
The model is the first GMSV product in Australia with Chevrolet Connected Services that can perform over-the-air updates to various functions and services.
In announcing the improvements, GMSV said the technologies elevate the cockpit-style, driver-focused cabin experience while adding the benefits of OTA updates both enhancing the mid-mounted V8 sportscar’s driver engagement that has made it a performance icon.
The three screen dash layout is designed to deliver all key driving information at a glance, GMSV describes it as “technology-forward” translating into “embracing new technologies to drive innovation, streamline processes, and gain a competitive advantage”.
In more detail, the 12.7-inch central screen controls multiple in car functions as is the case elsewhere while the expanded 14.0-inch driver information screen acts as an advanced digital dashboard.
The auxiliary 6.6-inch screen to the right of the steering wheel conveys crucial driving information relating to systems such as Performance Traction Management (PTM) and others to ensure everything a driver needs is available at a glance.
PTM is accessed via a dedicated switch beneath the 6.6-inch auxiliary display offering one-touch activation including the new PTM Pro Mode which turns off electronic stability control and traction control while leaving ABS on to minimise vehicle intervention for drivers who want maximum control.
All three screens feature sharper colours, improved agility, and expanded functionality.
Other cabin updates apart from the screens include a newly positioned Drive Mode selector positioned in line with the gear selector featuring altered display designs for Tour, Sport and Track modes and new animations with sharper graphics.
A wireless charging pad is positioned below the central screen complete with a cover to hold the phone in place.
“No stone was left unturned in improving the functionality of the Corvette cabin, even the volume control has been enlarged and is now lit at its base to improve visibility at night,” said importer GMSV.
“The climate controls have also been repositioned to allow for the inclusion of a passenger grab handle, which also adds a new USB-C port below it.
“Even the cup-holders have been updated, now with hand-wrapped inserts and ambient lighting, and with the iconic Corvette crossed flags at their base.”
Technology outside the cabin has also been revised with the Enhanced Performance Data Recorder undergoing a complete user interface overhaul with features like side-by-side video analysis and “speed tips” coaching delivering real-time performance insights right from the vehicle screen.
Now across all Corvette variants is a Performance App that was previously exclusive to the hybrid E-Ray model.
The Connected Car Services suite has an eight-year complimentary “trial” period bringing Google-powered control to the cabin, and over-the-air updates.
Included in the service are Google Maps built-in, designed for the all-new multi-screen interior design, Google Assistant with in-app, vehicle, and smart home commands, Google Play Store for favourite apps, designed for the Corvette, Chevrolet Mobile App with remote commands, vehicle diagnostics, vehicle location, and more.
GMSV says the OTA updates will continue to refine a customer’s Corvette without having to visit the showroom.
The heart of the Corvette remains the same as before with a choice of three powertrains using either a 6.2-litre petrol V8 rear-wheel drive, (possibly) a 5.5-litre petrol V8 rear-wheel drive, or an all-wheel drive PHEV with a 6.2-litre petrol V8 and integrated electric traction motor.
The Corvette is available in coupe configuration in 2LT, coupe and convertible in 3LT spec, and coupe only E-Ray.
A coupe version of the performance enhanced 3LZ (Z06) is not listed in the MY26 Corvette price schedule.
Outputs are 369kW/637Nm for the 6.2-litre LTs, 475kW/595Nm for the 5.5-litre (perhaps a special order Down Under) 3LZ (Z06), and 488kW/806Nm for the 6.2-litre E-Ray PHEV.
All have eight-speed dual-clutch transmissions with the LTs capable of a 0-100km/h sprint in 3.4 seconds, the LZ in 3.0 seconds flat and the E-Ray 2.9 seconds.
“When it comes to updating a vehicle as iconic and revered as the Corvette, the recipe is clear – improve the experience for the driver and passenger without ever detracting, or distracting, from the drive experience,” said General Motors Australia and New Zealand managing director Jess Bala.
“The 2026 Corvette range perfects the brief, with new driver-focused technology, a reimagined cabin experience, and the introduction of Chevrolet Connected Services all joining the most pure and exhilarating driving experience available today.”
